In this class, students will enjoy:

• An introduction to a wide variety of art methods, materials, and techniques

• Vibrant process art in a resource-rich environment that encourages experimentation, flexible thinking, and creative problem-solving

• Exposure to real tools (like the scaffolded use of sewing machines and screwdrivers) that build practical life skills and self-confidence

• Collaboration with local artists and makers, connecting students to inspiring role models and real-world creative practices

• A community of fellow creators who support one another’s artistry and collaborate on projects throughout the semester

• Plus! All students are invited to participate in the Community Art Show at the end of each semester, to showcase their artwork to family, friends and the local community!
